Driver Profile: Tiana Kibbe NEMA Lites & All-Star Pavement Midgets

NEMA Lite Driver | Car #94 | Kibbe Racing

Tiana Kibbe is a rising star in the NEMA Lite division, known for her energy, fierce determination, and fast-growing talent behind the wheel of the iconic silver and blue #94—an homage to her Grandpa Carl’s Sunoco-sponsored race car. Racing is more than just a sport for Tiana—it’s a family tradition and a tribute to her roots.

Although she grew up at the track watching her grandfather and spending time in the pits, Tiana’s own racing journey took a detour through competitive cross country and track during high school and college. "To be quite honest, I never really thought I’d get the opportunity to drive," she admits. Her mother wasn’t too keen on the idea, and Tiana never pushed it. But when her grandfather passed away, something shifted. She found herself drawn back to the races with her dad and cousin Avery Stoehr, and soon began helping in the pits—mounting tires, removing Zeus buttons, and getting her hands dirty.

That’s when her dad started testing the waters, sending her pictures of cars for sale and asking if she might want to drive someday. By the time she graduated college in May 2017, he posed the ultimate question: "Do you want a toolbox or a racecar for graduation?"

The answer was obvious—she wanted the racecar.

Tiana officially committed in 2019, joining other women in motorsports. With a few ground rules in place—she had to get a job and work on the car herself—the next generation of Kibbe Racing was born.

Driving under her family-owned team, Tiana’s passion is matched only by her work ethic. She thrives in the garage and lives for the shared race-day traditions with her dad: helmet taps before hitting the track, Saturday night FloRacing recaps, Sunday morning garage sessions, and the beer they split after a long day at the track. A memory that stands out? The hug she got from her dad after her first podium finish at Wiscasset. "He said, ‘I’ve been waiting for this,’ and I could barely hold it together."

Tiana may be relatively new to the driver’s seat, but her aggressive style, steady improvement, and deep love for the sport are impossible to miss. Whether she’s wrenching on the car or battling for position on track, she’s keeping the Kibbe legacy alive—one lap at a time.
